DUTIES: For shipyards support / engine installation in general, but covering also torsion vibration calculation and measurements on board during sea-trials / alignment calculations and alignment checking and evaluation on board RESPONSIBILTIES: Assist and give advice to W rtsil Licensing personnel and the client for engine installation and procedures, quality matters and time scheduling. To ensure that the Shipyards follow our standards and guidelines thoroughly. Special focus on alignment calculations and alignment work in ship new-buildings Special focus on torsional vibration calculations and measurements during sea-trials To communicate the technical subjects between the Shipyard and Wartsila during engine installations and project follow-up Provide internal and external work reports according to W rtsil standards. Collect and organise time and expense reports from the team. Reporting and informing administrative personnel as required. Supervise the tasks performed by W rtsil employees and subcontractors. Report executed work according to W rtsil standards. Create and maintain good human relations at site especially with our licensees REQUIREMENTS: Mechanical Engineers with good ability/interest and understanding of Torsional Vibration calculation and measurement as well as alignment calculation and alignment performance in ships / training will be provioded Experienced in engine installation in ships Experienced in shipyard procedures of great advantage. Experience with 2 stroke diesel engines of advantage. Must be able to communicate in English in writing and speaking. Requirement to understand complex technical specifications in English and transfer the knowledge to Chinese language effectively.
